Tour Description

After our visit to the fortress, we hop back into the car and cross the Sava River into New Belgrade. A panoramic tour awaits, offering insights into the vision of a new, modern, socialist Yugoslavia through the planned architecture of this dynamic district.

Our journey then takes us to Zemun, affectionately dubbed "a town within a city," where the charm of old-world Central Europe awaits. In Zemun we’ll take a walk along the Danube river quay, visit the colorful green market where we’ll get familiar with Serbian food specialities and walk up the cobllestone streets all the way to Gardoš hill and Millenium Tower, to enjoy the fantastic view over Zemun.

The tour continues from Zemun to Dedinje, home of the Museum of History of Yugoslavia, in order to learn more about the country that no longer exists. This is also the place where the solemn House of Flowers, the final resting place of Yugoslav President Josip Broz Tito, is located. We will visit the museum and get familiar with the legacy of one of the most significant persons in XX century.

We'll pass by the FC Red Star stadium, the greatest football club in this part of Europe and the 1991 European champion.

Our journey then leads us to the majestic Church of Saint Sava, a remarkable testament to Serbian heritage and faith. As one of the largest Orthodox churches globally, its sheer grandeur and intricate mosaics are sure to leave you in awe. Spanning an entire century in construction, this national temple stands as a symbol of Serbian identity and resilience, ranking among the world's greatest architectural marvels.

Following our visit to this iconic landmark, we’ll begin a panoramic ride, offering panoramic views of Belgrade's historic sites. Among these is the former Headquarters of the Yugoslav National Army, a stark reminder of the challenges faced by the city in 1999, during the latest of numerous wars. Our journey also showcases other significant landmarks such as the Parliament, Old and New Royal Courts, Terazije Square, and Republic Square

After exploring the best Belgrade has to offer, your guide will drop you off at your hotel.
